E- locus yellow - golden "unaccepted" as masks underlying color - same as golden labs - we like it - not rocket science to know if the dog is a merle or not... |
"irish spotting gene white- this puppy was from known "BLACK TRI" that was not a phantom merle - was all white w/ blue eyes and can see and hear just fine - the white markings just got 'overdone".. owners tell people she is an "irish shepherd" to stop ignorant people from telling them the dog is deaf- will die. |
DOUBLE MERLE WHITE -if get a puppy that looks like puppy to right from merle to merle breeding - it is likely deaf these dogs are the result of merle to merle breeding and are usually DEAF, can have eye problems - we have them humanely euthanized by our vet when we have tails/dew claws done.. |
